A Very British Scandal is an excellent three-part drama that looks into the messy divorce of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll. Will a second season happen?

We certainly got stuck into the scandal that was the divorce of Ian and Margaret Campbell. Who would have thought things would have gone the way they did? Of course, now you’ve seen this, you’ll want to know if there’s going to be another season to come.

Technically, A Very British Scandal is the second season of this miniseries. The first season was called A Very English Scandal. The change to the title’s name isn’t that surprising since the show moved up to the Scottish Duke and Duchess rather than being focused on an English political scandal.

Will A Very British Scandal Season 2 happen at Prime Video?

There isn’t a plan to continue the story of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll. This is a miniseries, which means it’s a one-and-done series. We got the beginning, middle, and end throughout the three episodes. This is pretty common for British TV shows. In a way, it’s a great way to ensure the full story is told while leaving us wanting and needing more. It’s also a great way to get some big names connected to TV shows when they would usually skip them for movies.

This doesn’t mean we can’t have another story and another scandal. It’s not like there aren’t plenty of scandals throughout British history. English Scandal and British Scandal have both focused on events from the ’60s and ’70s, but there are many other decades to look into.

There don’t seem to be any plans to bring a second season just yet. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the plans.
