Did you miss Hacks when it first arrived on HBO Max? There’s some great news that Hacks Season 1 is heading to DVD and Blu-ray.

While 2021 didn’t manage to bring us a lot of big shows on streaming platforms due to filming problems the previous year, we did get some great additions still. Hacks was one of them.

Jean Smart brought us a hilariously dark comedy focused on a twisty mentorship between Deborah Vance and an entitled 25-year-old. There’s no doubt that you’ll want to watch it all over again if you caught it the first time. If you somehow missed it, you need to check it out right now.

You don’t always want to pay for a streaming subscription, though. The good news is HBO is still releasing some content on DVD and Blu-ray, with Hacks being one of them.

Hacks Season 1 DVD and Blu-ray release date

There is still a bit of a wait on our hands for the DVD and Blu-ray boxsets. The official release date is Tuesday, June 14.

This is a strategic release date. It is a little more than a year since the release of the first season, and it is a month after the second season will start to air on HBO Max. The aim is to get people watching the first season on the subscription service rather than going straight to DVD and Blu-ray. After all, something needs to remain exclusive to be able to justify people paying just once for other content.

You can pre-order Hacks Season 1 on DVD and Blu-ray via Amazon. You’ll land the price guarantee so you pay the lowest price up to the June release date regardless of the price that you agree to pay now. It’s the perfect way to secure a copy and keep your bank balance in check.

The bad news is that it’s not yet available to stream via Amazon Instant Video. It could be released on Digital, but that doesn’t make a lot of sense for a streaming platform.
