Happy weekend! It’s time to enjoy some great movies on Prime Video. The choices of Amazon movies are endless across practically any genre you are in the mood for. April has an extensive list of releases, new and old. Below we highlight some fantastic movies to keep you happily entertained the whole weekend long.

All the Old Knives
One of the newest released Amazon original films, All the Old Knives, stars Chris Pine and Thandiwe Newton and is based on the thriller novel by Olen Steinhauer. The actors portray two CIA agents who are ex-lovers and are reunited years after a failed rescue attempt.
The movie pairs up the ex-lovers as they are tasked to discover who the mole in the agency is that leaked information that resulted in the killing of over 100 people. This spy thriller is an action-packed story about global espionage and deadly betrayal.
Undertow
Undertow is a psychological thriller starring Jamie Bell, Devon Alan, Dermot Mulroney, and Josh Lucas.
A widowed father takes his sons to live in a remote part of Georgia to raise pigs. They lead a reclusive life. His older son is quite rebellious, resulting in altercations with local law enforcement. To his surprise, his own brother arrives for a visit demanding some gold coins their father left them. When things go south, the two younger boys run away, taking the gold with them, and are pursued by their murderous uncle.
The Poison Rose
The 2019 thriller, The Poison Rose, stars John Travolta, Morgan Freeman, Brendan Fraser, Famke Janssen, Robert Patrick, and Peter Stormare. This movie is based on a novel by Richard Salvatore.
The movie is set in Galveston, Texas, in 1978, when investigator Carson Phillips is hired to investigate what appears to be a simple missing person case in his hometown. Upon further investigation, he is pulled into a deeper world of criminal activities.
The Protege
The action thriller, The Protege, stars Maggie Q, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Malahide, David Rintoul, Ori Pfeffer, Ray Fearon, Caroline Loncq, and Robert Patrick.
This story follows Anna, a girl rescued and then raised by a legendary assassin named Moody. When her mentor and guardian is killed, she, who is now the world’s most skilled contract killer, vows revenge for his death.
Takers
Takers is a 2010 action thriller starring Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Idris Elba, Jay Hernandez, Michael Ealy, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, and Zoe Saldana.
A group of bank robbers funds their lavish lifestyles by sticking to strict rules when pulling off their heists. While celebrating their latest victory, the group is approached by a former associate with a new daring plan. The payout is huge, so they can’t say no, but unknown to them this job will put them in the line of fire with the Russian mob and a detective who is gunning for them.
