Is Moon Knight coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

We are certainly more than ready to add Moon Knight to our DVD and Blu-ray collection. Will we get that chance in the near future?

It doesn’t matter that we can watch the Marvel shows and movies on Disney+. We still want to be able to own them on DVD and Blu-ray. We want to see the collection grow and be able to watch everything whenever we want and not have to worry about the streaming platforms.

Moon Knight is the latest of the Marvels shows currently on Disney+. We’re just partway through the first season so far, but we’re ready to add it to our DVD and Blu-ray collection. Is that going to be possible?

Moon Knight won’t come to DVD and Blu-ray yet

There is some bad news. Disney+ has already made it clear that the Marvel shows aren’t coming to DVD and Blu-ray just yet. This isn’t the case for the movies, which will still get a physical release. The movies also get a Digital release, but that’s not going to happen for the TV shows.

We haven’t seen Loki, WandaVision, or The Falcon and the Winter Soldier make it to DVD and Blu-ray just yet. Those should be the first to get that sort of treatment, but it was around the release of those on Disney+ that we got the bad news.

It does make sense that Disney would want to keep its content exclusive to its streaming platform. Why would the platform want to release anything in a way that encourages people to pay just once to watch a series over and over again? That doesn’t make financial sense at all, but it is disappointing for the fans.

Never say “never,” though. There is a chance that Disney will eventually choose to release the shows on DVD and Blu-ray. It’s just going to take some time.
