Is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on Amazon?

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is out in theaters right now. When it streams online, will you be able to stream Sonic 2 on Amazon Prime Video?

We’re ready to see Sonic and Knuckles face off against each other. The movie is currently out in theaters, and there are high chances that your kids will be begging you to take them. Hey, you may even want to go yourself after the fun of the first movie.

Whether you go to the theaters or not, you’ll want to stream it at home. Now you just need to know which streaming platform you’re going to need. Can you stream Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on Prime Video?

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is not coming to Prime Video

We’ll get some bad news out of the way first. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is not coming to Prime Video after its theatrical run. Paramount Pictures movies used to head there, but that’s not the case anymore.

Paramount Pictures movies now head to Paramount+. That only makes sense! Why would a studio want its movies to head to a different streaming platform when it’s connected to its own?

The good news is Paramount+ is part of Prime Channels. You’ll be able to get access to it via your Amazon account.

Sonic 2 coming to Amazon Video

There will be another way to watch the movie on Amazon. You’ll want to turn to Amazon Instant Video, which is where the Digital releases head.

Eventually, this movie is going to head to Digital, DVD, and Blu-ray. It’s not 100% clear when that is going to be just yet, but we’re looking at sometime in May 2022. You’ll be able to buy the movie and it will be added to your Amazon Library. The great thing about this is you don’t have to keep any subscription services up to keep watching it.
