Is The Lincoln Lawyer on Amazon?
The Lincoln Lawyer is coming to TV. It’s the reason LA lawyer Mickey Haller isn’t joining Bosch in Bosch: Legacy. Will the series be on Amazon?
When Bosch: Legacy‘s trailer came out, fans quickly noticed a change from the books. Bosch is not teaming up with Mickey Haller. If you are wondering why, it all comes down to the rights for characters. Bosch: Legacy couldn’t use Haller.
Instead, Haller is going to be the main character in The Lincoln Lawyer series, which premieres on Friday, May 13. With Bosch being on Prime Video and Bosch: Legacy going to Amazon’s free streaming platform IMDb TV, does that mean we’ll be able to watch The Lincoln Lawyer?
The Lincoln Lawyer is not coming to Prime Video
There is some bad news. Prime Video subscribers won’t get to see the series. It is also not going to be on IMDb TV.
This is what we mean by Haller not being in Bosch: Legacy due to the rights of the characters. Haller’s series is heading to Netflix, so this streaming platform has the rights to that character. The series will be available as a binge-watch on Netflix.
There’s simply no need for Netflix to share its content with Prime Video. You’ll need to get both subscriptions if you want to watch more of Michael Connelly’s work being adapted.
The Lincoln Lawyer probably won’t go to Amazon Video
Even more bad news is the way that The Lincoln Lawyer probably won’t be available on Digital. Sometimes it can happen, but this is dependent on the production studios and contracts in place.
There’s no need for Netflix to allow the series to head to Digital. This risks taking away subscribers since people can pay once to watch the series.
Likewise, we probably won’t see the series head to DVD and Blu-ray. It doesn’t make financial sense.
The Lincoln Lawyer is coming to Netflix on May 13.
