Is Bridgerton Season 2 coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

If you’re a fan of period romance dramas, you’ll certainly have turned to Bridgerton Season 2 on Netflix. Will the series come to DVD and Blu-ray?

There’s no doubt that romance fans everywhere were excited this week. The second season of Netflix’s hit show Bridgerton is now available to stream in full. But what if you don’t have Netflix, and what if you don’t want to get the streamer? Will there be another way to watch the series?

Is it possible that we’ll get to watch Bridgerton Season 2 on DVD and Blu-ray? Keep in mind that this is a Netflix series, and here’s what we can tell so far.

Bridgerton Season 2 is not likely coming to DVD and Blu-ray

The truth is that it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see Bridgerton Season 2 come to DVD and Blu-ray. Netflix doesn’t tend to bring its original programs to DVD and Blu-ray. There are a few that have had that treatment, but these are the types of shows that were either saved from other networks or have deals in place for Netflix to come on board.

When you look at the shows that have made it to DVD and Blu-ray, we’re looking at most Warner Bros. shows like Fuller House or the shows that were saved like Lucifer and The Last Kingdom.

We can also look at Bridgerton‘s past. The first season hasn’t been released on DVD and Blu-ray. This suggests that the series doesn’t have a clause in the contract to take it to physical disc.

It doesn’t make sense for Netflix to allow all of it’s original shows to go to DVD and Blu-ray. DVDs mean that people can pay once and watch a show as much as they want. It takes people away from the streaming platform, and there is a lot of competition when it comes to streaming now.
