West Side Story is just one of the movies you can get on DVD and Blu-ray this week. Here’s a look at all the releases happening.

Another week brings more movies and TV shows getting their DVD and Blu-ray debuts. There are only seven releases happening this week, but there are some big ones you’ll not want to miss.

Sure, you can watch the content on streaming platforms. There’s still something about owning on DVD, though. You don’t need an internet connection and you’ll always have access even when and if they leave the streaming platforms.

West Side Story, Vikings, and more

The biggest release is certainly the Steven Spielberg rebooted version of West Side Story. This is one of those remakes you don’t realize you need until you get it. The story is still the same, but there are some great tweaks that make it more than worth watching. My favorite has been the use of Rita Moreno (the original Anita) throughout the movie.

Another big release is Vikings Season 6, Part 2. This release contains the final 10 episodes of the entire series, bringing the legacy to an end. Remember that the spin-off Vikings: Valhalla has released its first season on Netflix to continue the story in another way. The Complete Series is also going to be available bringing us Ragnar and his sons’ stories in one collection.

For the horror fans, The Boy Behind the Door is the movie to check out this week. It seems two young boys who are kidnapped on the way home from school. They find themselves in a secluded house and end up on a cat and mouse game of survival as their kidnapper hunts them down within the house.
