Bosch: Legacy lands IMDb TV release date and teaser trailer
We’ve all been ready for the Bosch spin-off, and the wait is almost over. Bosch: Legacy is coming to IMDb TV in May 2022.
When we heard Bosch was coming to an end after seven seasons, we were disappointed. Then we got the exciting news that it wouldn’t be the complete end for Titus Welliver’s character. IMDb TV had ordered a spin-off.
We’ve only just heard the title for the spin-off. Bosch: Legacy is the name, and it makes sense why when we look at the teaser trailer. While Welliver is back, this series isn’t just about him. We’re getting more time with Bosch’s daughter, Madeline.

The series will arrive on IMDb TV on Friday, May 6. It looks like it’s going to be a binge-watch release, although that hasn’t been explicitly confirmed. We just know that most originals on Amazon’s free streaming platform arrive as a binge-watch.

As well as the release date, we now have a trailer for the new series. It picks up off the back of the original series, but it doesn’t look like you need to know too much right away.
The series picks up with Bosch now retired from the force. He’s a private detective, and he refuses to work for defense attorneys. Well, he wants to refuse, but what if the defense is working on the right side? Sometimes it happens.
Meanwhile, Madeline is following her father’s footsteps. Her mom was a cop too, so she’s following the whole family legacy. It’s some serious DNA she has, and she’s about to prove that this is a career for her.
