Prime Video has a new horror thriller coming your way in March. The film Master will be released soon, and you won’t want to miss this one!

Mariama Diallo wrote and directed the film, which is her directorial debut. Master premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival in January, receiving excellent reviews. This film has been compared to Jordan Peele’s Get Out, with hints of The Shining added in.

This one sounds like it will be quite the thrill ride as it is a psychological, supernatural, and horror focusing on racial tension at an Ivy League-esque college.

Master release date

Prime Video will release this movie on March 18. Don’t miss this one if you are a fan of horror and thrillers.

Master cast

The movie sees Regina Hall as the lead in this film. She portrays a professor at Ancaster college and is the first Black person to be promoted to “Master.”

She is joined by Zoe Renee, who plays a first-year student whose new dorm room is reported to be haunted. Amber Gray plays another professor who is up against a racially charged tenure review.
They are joined by Molly Bernard, Nike Kadri, Julia Nightingale, Talia Ryder, Ella Hunt, Bruce Altman, and Talia Balsam.

Master synopsis

Three women struggle to find their place at Ancaster College, an elite New England University. Each woman encounters a different struggle as something sinister boils beneath the surface. There have always been rumors that the college is haunted, but as things are uncovered, this seems accurate, but who is doing the haunting?

Many horror movies have been set at colleges, revealing many traditions of the institutions to have ominous and downright creepy origins; this film does that but compounds that with events in America’s racist past.

Master trailer

The trailer below shows what to expect from this movie, and it looks like it will be a good one in the horror-thriller genre.
