Invincible Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in March 2022

We’re certainly ready to see what’s next for Mark and his friends. Sadly, that’s not happening yet. Invincible Season 2 is not coming out this month.

There are a lot of questions about Mark and his friends after the way the first season ended. Sadly, the answers aren’t coming yet. We’re not going to get another season of the show this month.

Invincible Season 2 is happening, though. Prime Video confirmed a renewal for both Seasons 2 and 3 shortly before the Season 1 finale aired. That was back in 2021. Now we’re waiting for any news about the new season.

It wasn’t on the list of new releases on Prime Video in March 2022. We weren’t expecting it, but it didn’t stop us from checking just in case.

Invincible Season 2 release date predictions

We don’t have any idea as to when to expect a new season of the series. Usually, shows take between 14 and 18 months to bring new seasons. With an April 2021 release date for the Season 1 finale, we had hoped that would mean Invincible Season 2 would arrive sometime between June 2022 and October 2022.

This isn’t looking likely. Steven Yeun recently shared that he hadn’t even been called in to record the lines for the animated series. Production will hopefully start soon, but it will mean pushing back the projected release date. There is still a chance that we’ll see the season in 2022, but this isn’t a guarantee just yet.

Animated series won’t be affected by any production delays due to COVID. However, the shows do take a long time to put together. Work can be done from home, but it is intricate work that requires a lot of expensive technology to create.

Some of those behind Invincible have been working with The Boys to bring us The Boys Presents: Diabolical. That arrives on Friday, March 4, so it will be something to help break up the wait.
