Is Carnival Row Season 2 coming in 2022?

We’ve been waiting since 2019 to find out what’s next for Philo, Vignette, and the rest of the fae. What is going on with Carnival Row Season 2?

The good news we do have is that Carnival Row Season 2 is still happening. The show hasn’t been canceled, but we are still waiting.

Filming started in November 2019, but it was shut down in March 2020 back when the world shut down. It did pick up toward the end of the year and into 2021, and that’s the last we know. There are hints that filming has finished, and now the show is in post-production.

So, we’re back onto looking at when the season could arrive. Will we get Carnival Row Season 2 on Prime Video in 2022?

Carnival Row Season 2 should arrive in 2022

We’re certainly hoping for a 2022 release date. If filming has wrapped, there is time to get through post-production. However, this is a series that involves a lot of visual effects, so the post-production stage will take a good few months to complete.

The Boys Season 3 isn’t going to arrive until June 2022. That’s another show that takes a long time in post-production for the visual effects. So, we’re looking at the back half of the year for Carnival Row.

Will Carnival Row Season 2 be released weekly?

How will Prime Video decide to release the series? A lot of shows are moving into a hybrid release model. We get three or four episodes at once with the rest of the episodes being released weekly.

Is that going to happen for Carnival Row? It could do. These hybrid releases are working well, and it will help to keep the show in people’s minds for a little longer than a binge-watch does.

However, Amazon knows we’re waiting patiently. We are still seeing a lot of binge-watches, such as Upload Season 2 coming in March 2022. This could be a hint that some of the big shows are still getting the more traditional release, and Carnival Row will hopefully be one of them.
