The Wheel of Time Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in February 2022

We’re certainly ready to delve back into the world of The Wheel of Time. There is a wait, though. We won’t see The Wheel of Time Season 2 this month.

When it comes to Amazon shows, The Wheel of Time certainly proved to be one to watch. There were some complaints from the book fans, but it was a series that captured the heart of the story while bringing us something that worked for TV.

The good thing going into the first season was knowing that it wouldn’t be the last. The Wheel of Time Season 2 was confirmed before the premiere, and it had even started filming before the first season arrived on Prime Video.

Yet there is some bad news. It is not a series heading to Prime Video in February 2022. We’ve double-checked that list and it’s not on there.

When is The Wheel of Time Season 2 coming to Prime Video?

How long do we need to wait? That’s not clear. Filming has started, but it is still ongoing. After that, there is the post-production stage, and that will take months of hard work.

So, we’re not looking at the show arriving on Prime Video until the end of 2022 at the earliest. I don’t even think that it’s going to be 2022 if I’m honest. I’m preparing for an early 2023 release date instead. This will just give more time to get through the post-production stage.

I do expect a hybrid release format again. This sort of release where the first three episodes come out at once and then the rest of the season drops has worked well for some of the bigger Prime Video shows. There’s no need to deviate from that for Season 2.
