Will Cobra Kai Season 4 come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The Karate Kid story continues. After saving the series and bringing us Season 3, Netflix has now brought us the fourth season of Cobra Kai. It arrived on New Year’s Eve, and it was everything we hoped for. Now we’re certainly excited for the fifth season, which we know is going to happen.

Before we get to that, though, you likely want to add the fourth season to your DVD collection. Will Cobra Kai Season 4 be released on DVD and Blu-ray? What about on Digital? And if so, how long will it take?

Cobra Kai Season 4 will likely come to DVD

The good news is we will likely be able to add the season to our DVD collections. This isn’t just based on the fact that you already have the first two seasons as part of your collection. Cobra Kai Season 3 is getting the DVD treatment. You’ll be able to own it on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

It will only likely be the DVD, though. The previous seasons haven’t been released on Blu-ray. That’s not surprising since the show has always been a streaming one. Why would YouTube and then Netflix want to encourage subscribers to get the best quality for a one-off payment? That doesn’t make sense for the streaming model.

So, it shouldn’t surprise you to hear that there are no signs the third season will come to Digital. Sure, the first two have so there is still a chance. However, Netflix shows don’t tend to release on Digital unless it’s written in the contract. If Season 3 doesn’t, then Season 4 won’t either.

When will Cobra Kai Season 4 come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Knowing that it will come to DVD is one thing. Now we need to know when that will happen. There is going to be a wait on our hands.

We’re looking at Cobra Kai Season 4 not coming to DVD until January 2023. It took about 12 months for the third season to head to DVD. We’ve also seen something similar with The Crown. Netflix wants to encourage people to watch on its streaming platform first.
