The last Tuesday in December is a little quiet when it comes to the DVD and Blu-ray releases. Here’s a look at what we will see arrive.

Things are on the quiet side this week. This isn’t all too surprising. The bigger releases either happened the week before or will be held for next week. This can be a difficult Tuesday for sales with the costs of Christmas and the run-up to New Year.

That doesn’t mean it’s a silent week. There are three movies coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week.

What’s heading to DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, Dec. 28?

The French Dispatch is one of the releases to happen this week. Starring Benicio del Toro and Adrien Brody, the movie pays homage to American journalism. It follows the story of a Kansas-based newspaper located in the fictional Ennui-sur-Blase outpost in France.

The newspaper wants to bring the last issue of The French Dispatch. The story is told over three storylines that weave together. It’s certainly worth the patience and story following.

Castle Falls is another on the list, starring Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins. This story is about a kickbox fighter who is struggling to find success in life and his career. He’s working on building a demolition crew, and that includes prepping an hold hospital to be demolished.

While there, he finds $3m in cash stashed. It was placed there by a violent gang, so when he takes it, he ends up in a lot of trouble.

Finally, there’s Mayday, starring Grace Van Patten and Mia Goth. The movie follows Ana, who is in a world where women lure soldiers to their doom. She is taken by the women to their leader, where she will learn to become one of them.

Can she be turned into a hardened killer, though? That’s something she’ll need to figure out along the way of this journey.
