There’s another Grand Tour special on its way. It’s another one filmed during lockdown. What exactly is The Grand Tour Presents: Carnage a Trois about?

It’s time for another lockdown Grand Tour special. It’s a surprising addition to the December listings, not originally on the full list of arrivals. We’re certainly not complaining though.

The first lockdown special took place in Scotland. The trio brought American muscle cars to the country to see why they just never took off. It was pretty clear when driving around Edinburgh why the big cars just don’t work for every place around the world.

What about The Grand Tour Presents: Carnage a Trois? What will this special be about?

The Grand Tour Presents: Carnage a Troisi synopsis

The second lockdown starts off in Wales. Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond are back with their wild antics. They’ll bring us a mountain climb, propeller-powered cars, and helicopter stunts.

Then they’re off on a road trip to France. This special is all about the bizarre world of French car culture, but the trio will need to get there first. Are they able to get across the English Channel in the middle of lockdown?

It’s not all about cars, either. The trio will also get to experience French arthouse cinema. This is certainly a special filled with culture.

There is only one episode in this special, just like the previous ones. The Grand Tour team decided to opt for specials rather than the full seasons that they’ve done in the past. If we’re honest, it is the specials that we love the most. We get to see more interaction between the three and we get the experience of the cultures.
