Alex Rider Season 2 has only just dropped on IMDb TV, but we already want more. Will Alex Rider Season 3 happen at the streaming service?

We went on another journey throughout Alex Rider Season 2. Alex was supposed to return to a normal life, but that was never going to happen, right? He faced so much while at Point Blanc. It was always going to leave a mark.

It’s clear there are more stories to tell. We don’t even need to know there are more books in Anthony Horowitz’s series to see that. The ending to the second season has left us needing more. Now all eyes are on what IMDb TV will decide to do about the future of this excellent YA series.

Will Alex Rider Season 3 happen at IMDb TV?

What are the chances of Alex Rider Season 3 happening? We’d like to say pretty good. The reaction online has been great. The problem is we don’t get to see what the streaming numbers are like for the show.

On top of that, it’s not just up to IMDb TV to renew the show as this is a British thriller and not a U.S. one. However, there is some good news. It’s Amazon that distributes the show in the UK, and Amazon owns IMDb TV.

It didn’t take too long for the second season to get picked up by Amazon, but it was a little longer than we’re used to. That could be due to the way the first season was released. Amazon Prime Video UK got the episodes in June 2020, but the show didn’t arrive on IMDb TV in the U.S. and on Amazon Prime Video in Canada until November 2020. It was November when the show was renewed.

With everywhere getting the second season at the same time, we’ll hopefully get the renewal news pretty soon. We’ll be keeping an eye on it because we need to see more of Horowitz’s books adapted with this team.
