The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 is not coming in December 2021

We had hoped that we’d get a Christmas surprise in the form of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4. That isn’t going to be the case, but we do have a release date.

The bad news is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 isn’t coming to Amazon Prime Video this month. That means we’re going another full year without our favorite fictional female stand-up comedian.

We double-checked that list of releases in December just to make sure. And just as we were about to start speculating on a potential date, Amazon released some good news. We now know when the fourth season will drop.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 release date

According to TVLine, the official release date is set. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 will arrive on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022.

Yes, this means we’re not getting a new episode of Mrs. Maisel at all in 2021. The wait is almost over, though. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Amazon is opting for the hybrid release model similar to The Expanse and The Boys. This hybrid model is a little different with two episodes releasing each week over the course of four weeks.

The season is moving into the 1960s. This is certainly a decade of change as women push further forward in a fight for equality. Midge is ready to be the main act once more. After losing her spot as Shy Baldwin’s opening act, she doesn’t want to do that anymore. She wants her own show, but Susie isn’t too certain that’s going to be possible.

Midge is willing to work hard to hone her craft, but it will come at some expenses. The biggest one is the rift it creates between her and her family.
