Can you believe we’re at the end of the year already? It only feels like last month that 2021 got started.

Some months this year have been slow. That’s not the case for the end of 2021, and December is not going to disappoint. In fact, the list could be a little overwhelming, and that’s why we’re narrowing down the list.

We have the top shows on Amazon to check out throughout the month. This list is in release date order because you just can’t compare the genres, but there are going to be some shows that stand out more for you than others.

A Discovery of Witches

We start with one of the samples from Amazon Channels. This is the month to watch the first season of A Discovery of Witches. The series follows the story from the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness, and the second season is available via Sundance Now, Shudder, and AMC+.

This sample isn’t all too surprising. The third and final season is going to drop on the streaming platforms in January 2022. This is a chance to get you hooked so you’ll watch Season 3 when it arrives.

My Crazy Ex

Relationships can certainly be dangerous things. Anyone who has been through any sort of abusive or narcissistic relationship will get a sense of what could happen. Then there are those relationships where things do happen.

My Crazy Ex focuses on people telling stories from their pasts. They look back at relationships that were excessive or extreme. This is perfect for the true-crime or true horror fans out there.

Only the first season is available on Amazon Prime Video on Dec. 1. You can watch the other seasons via A&E Crime Central on Amazon Channels.

The Expanse

A Discovery of Witches isn’t the only series coming to an end in January. We’ll also see the end of The Expanse, and Season 6 begins on Dec. 10. This is an Amazon series that will get a weekly release, which is how it comes to a full end in January 2022.

The final season picks up off the back of the fifth season. Marco is still building his Free Navy to fight against the Earthers and Martians. The two planets will need to work together to protect themselves against the Belter faction.

LOL: Last One Laughing

Need a comedy series? LOL: Last One Laughing is certainly popular for a lot of people. It’s a competition series that sees the last one to laugh win. The clue really is in the title.

This focuses on up and coming comedians. It’s a chance to see people testing out their jokes and getting a chance to prove that they’re worth watching out for. But can they keep a straight face themselves?

Watch the series on Dec. 10.

With Love

Need a rom-com? Gloria Calderón Kellett is bringing one that you won’t want to miss. With Love is a tale of love, purpose, and family.

The series follows Lily and Jorge Diaz, two siblings on a mission to find purpose in life and love at the same time. We see their stories play out throughout the course of various holidays in the year, and we also get to see their parents try to keep the spark alive in their older ages.
