Thanksgiving isn’t just about the turkey or the time with family. It’s about the Thanksgiving football. Can you watch on Amazon Prime Video?

We all look forward to Thursday Night Football. All the games air on FOX, but if you cut the cord and have Amazon Prime, you can watch all games on Amazon Prime Video. Even if you haven’t cut the cord, watching on Amazon Prime Video is certainly something to consider.

So, it’s Thursday night. You know there’s a Thanksgiving football game on tonight. It’s all about the Buffalo Bills against the New Orleans Saints. It’s the first time the two teams have played against each other on Thanksgiving Day.

Where can you watch it?

Is Thanksgiving football 2021 on Amazon Prime Video?

It’s Thursday so it should mean the game is on Amazon Prime Video, right? This is where there’s a little bit of bad news.

While it is Thursday, the football game is actually classed as a Sunday night Football special. That means it’s not going to be on Amazon Prime Video.

Where can you watch it? The game is airing on NBC. You’ll be able to watch it on the channel or at NBC.com. You will also be able to stream it live on Peacock this year.

Live coverage will begin at 7 p.m. ET. However, that doesn’t mean the game will start right then. Like usual Thursday Night Football games, kickoff is at 8:20 p.m. ET and runs through the night.

There are games throughout the day. The first airs at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX with the Chicago Bears at the Detroit Lions. The second airs at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS with the LAs Vegas Riders at the Dallas Cowboys. Neither of these games are on Amazon Prime Video either.

Will this change in the future? There is always a chance, but the broadcast networks like their access to football. This can be some of the best options for live ratings meaning the networks gain money from advertising.
