If you haven’t started watching Squid Game yet, it’s likely on the list to binge-watch at some point. It’s a mixture of Battle Royale and The Purge, focusing on a group of people heavily in debt who have the chance to win enough money to clear their debts and set themselves up for life.

These adults do it all by playing games they played as kids. However, if they lose, it’s more than just not being able to play the next game. They’re killed.

Now you want to know where you can watch the South Korean series. Is it on Amazon Prime Video?

Where to stream Squid Game online

The bad news is you can’t watch the show on Amazon Prime Video for free with your Prime membership. This is a Netflix Original Series, which means it is only available in one place. You can stream it on Netflix.

The series is likely not ever to come to Amazon Prime Video. There’s just no need for Netflix to share, especially when it’s one of the biggest shows of 2021.

What about on Digital? Will there be a way to add the show to your Amazon Library? Again, it just doesn’t make sense for Netflix to do that. Why would Netflix want to encourage people to watch the show in a place other than its own streaming platform? We likely won’t see a Digital release.

The DVD and Blu-ray release will depend on the contracts signed at the time of Netflix getting the streaming rights. We have seen some Netflix Originals head to DVD and Blu-ray, but this isn’t common with the foreign language shows. We’ll have to wait and see.
