The movie tells the story of the last duel in Medieval France. You’ll just have to forgive the lack of French accents throughout the movie! It’s historical fiction, after all.
The movie follows Jean de Carrouges and his wife Marguerite. When Marguerite claims that Jean’s squire, Jacques Le Gris raped her, there are a lot of questions and debates. Jacques is held in high regard by the nobles in the court. Marguerite turns to King Charles VI for justice, and he decides they should follow tradition. They will go through trial by combat, and God will decide their fates.
The Last Duel DVD release date predictions
As of right now, the movie hasn’t got a DVD release date. It has been distributed by 20th Century Studios, so we’ll look at other movies from the same studio to get an idea of the DVD release date. For this, we’re looking at Free Guy and The New Mutants.
It took The New Mutants three months to head to DVD after being released in theaters. Free Guy only took two months. The latter may be linked to the pandemic, and we could see something similar here. We may see The Last Duel on DVD and Blu-ray around Dec. 14, 2021. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the date.
