We’ll get to see Hanna Season 3 at the end of this month. All six episodes of the season will drop at once, giving us a binge-watch for Thanksgiving weekend. Yes, sadly, it is a shorter season than the previous two. Our sights are already on the future of the series.

In fact, Amazon knows our sights are already on the future of it. That’s why the streamer has already announced plans. Sadly, it’s not good news for those who want more, but it is good news for those who like complete stories and don’t want a show just abruptly canceled.

Hanna Season 4 is not happening at Amazon Prime Video

According to TVLine, there isn’t going to be a fourth season of the series. If you read the synopsis for Season 3 carefully, you would have suspected this. Elements of the synopsis told us that Season 3 was going to be the end.

Showrunner David Farr says that a three-season series was always the plan. The story came in three acts, which comes from the way movies are traditionally set up. There isn’t going to be a need for Hanna Season 4 because the story is going to feel complete when it comes to the final episode.

This is where there’s the good news. We’re not being left with a cliffhanger ending. This isn’t going to be a case of a show we’ve become invested in only to end up abruptly canceled. The show gets to go out on its own terms, similarly to the way Absentia ended in 2020, and we have full respect for shows that have a start, middle, and end planned out. We’re even happier when networks make it possible to tell the full story.

Hanna Season 3 is coming to Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, Nov. 24. There isn’t going to be a Hanna Season 4.
