Almost 70 titles are joining Amazon Prime Video today
It’s time for the big drop on the first of the month. Nov. 1 brings content for all, with 69 new titles joining Amazon Prime Video.
A total of 18 titles are TV shows. They’re all Amazon Channels samples, which means they’re only around for the month. A lot of the movies that drop today will be available for a couple of months at least.
You’ll want to keep this in mind as you work through the content. Shows that are only around for a month need to be worked through first. And one that you’ll want to put at the top of the list is Power Book II: Ghost.
The first season is available to stream. It’s the first spin-off of STARZ’s Power, and tells the story of Tariq St. Patrick after the events of the original series. Tariq has to divided his time between school and home, and he may find himself hustling in the drug game when it comes to paying his mom’s defense attorney.
Native America, The Restaurant, and Rectify are other TV shows worth checking out today.
Dead Poet’s Society, Alien, and more
When it comes to movies, there are a few Robin Williams offerings today on Amazon Prime Video. Dead Poet’s Society is one of Williams’s serious movies, and he is outstanding in it. He plays a progressive English teacher who encourages his students to dream and think outside of the mold.
If you want a classic comedy, Mrs. Doubtfire is going to be the movie to watch. You’ve likely seen it a million times, and it’s still just as funny each time.
Fancy a horror even though it’s no longer Halloween? Alien, Aline 3, Alien Resurrection, and Alien vs. Predator are all available to stream today. The first is always the best, but spend your time working through the franchise movies that are available.
When it comes to something for the kids (Mrs. Doubtfire is a great option!), you’ll want to turn your attention to Gnomeo & Juliet. It’s the Romeo & Juliet tale with garden gnomes and Elton John music. It’s perfect entertainment for a blustery night in.
