The Manor

It focuses on a woman who goes to an assisted living home after a stroke. When she starts to experience a dark shadow, she tries to get help but could it just be from the stroke?

There are some great other movies from the Welcome to Blumhouse releases over the last couple of years. Black as Night is great for vampire fans, The Lie is a superb psychological thriller, and Black Box will certainly have you trying to figure out what exactly is going on. The Thing

If you loved John Carpenter’s The Thing, you’ll want to check out the 2011 sequel. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje star in this movie that focuses on a team of scientists in remote Antarctica. They uncover a shape-shifting monster, and soon everything they were working on is for nothing.

It’s a matter of survival in this movie. While there is the sci-fi element to it, the fight to survive in the remote area with the freezing elements around them adds to the horror.

Prometheus

We’d all love to see where the origins of humankind and the world come from, right? Prometheus reminds us why we don’t actually want to do that exploration. Sometimes it’s best to be in the dark.

The sci-fi horror sees a space crew head to a remote world. While there, they come across an alien creature that is like nothing they imagined. Will they be able to survive the attack? It’s the best of the Prometheus franchise, but the other movies are also certainly worth watching for Halloween 2021.

I Know What You Did Last Summer

There are plenty of slasher horror movies on Amazon Prime Video. One that you need to watch is I Know What You Did Last Summer. All three of the movies from the trilogy are on Amazon, although the first one is the best.

The movie follows the book of the same name. A group of teens hit and kill someone on the way back home from a party. Instead of calling the cops, they hide the body. A year later, they end up with someone attacking them one by one claiming to know the truth.

Jennifer’s Body

Finally, it’s the movie that you can watch on IMDb TV for Halloween 2021. Jennifer’s Body stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried about a high school student who is possessed by a hungry demon. The high school student happens to be the hottest girl in school.

When Jennifer suddenly has an insatiable appetite for boys at the school, her friends figure out that something has to be wrong. Will they be able to get to the bottom of the situation?
