The release date did bring some disappointing news. The first is that the final season is only going to have six episodes. This is something speculated recently due to how short a timeframe the filming took. There just wasn’t enough time to get more than six episodes in that timeframe with all the pandemic protocols.
Season 6 will also get a weekly release, similar to the fifth season. The first episode will release on Dec. 10 and the series finale will air on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022.
