Carnival Row Season 2 is not coming to Amazon in October 2021

We’re still waiting for the second season of the fantasy period series. The wait is a little longer as Carnival Row Season 2 is not coming this month.

We double-checked the list of Amazon releases just in case, but Carnival Row wasn’t on there. That wasn’t that much of a surprise though. If this series was arriving this month, we’d have known about it for a while.

All eyes are certainly on the release date. However, it’s looking less and less likely that we’ll see the season arrive in 2021.

Carnival Row Season 2 release date predictions

There is a bit of good news about Carnival Row Season 2. Filming is now complete. The show’s official Twitter shared the exciting news on Sept. 16, 2021. It was all about the last day of filming. There were some behind-the-scene photos shared, but they don’t give too much away about what to expect on the new season.

With filming only just finishing in September, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see it arrive in 2021. There is going to be a lot of CGI work that needs to be done, and that’s going to take months. There just isn’t the time to get it all done before the end of the year.

When in2022 can we expect it? That’s hard to say. It’s going to depend on the amount of CGI work that had already been done during production shutdown. While filming couldn’t happen, some post-production work could have been completed from home.

This is a show that we’re keeping a close eye on. We’d love to know exactly when the second season will arrive. There had been some talk of splitting the season in half to get some episodes in 2021, but it looks like that isn’t going to happen anymore.
