The Scream movies are some of the top picks when it comes to slasher horror movies. Can you watch the first Scream on Amazon this Halloween?

When it comes to slasher movies, you’ll likely pick the Scream franchise. The first movie is, by far, the best, but there are some memorable moments from the other three. And then there’s a fifth movie coming out soon, and we can’t forget the TV series!

For now, it’s all about the first movie. That’s the one you really want to watch. It’s the one that brings up all the rules for horror movies, offering a parody of the genre while still being scary at times.

Now you just need to know where you’re watching it for Halloween 2021.

Scream is not on Amazon Prime Video

We start with the bad news. You can’t watch the movie, or any of the movies from the franchise, on Amazon Prime Video. There is a chance the movies will arrive for Halloween 2022, but it’s not happening this year.

However, keep your Amazon Prime Video subscription up to date. You can watch the movies on AMC+ via Amazon Channels. The first three of the franchise are available on the streaming platform.

You can then turn to STARZ for Scream 4 if you want to watch that. Again, you can watch with Amazon Channels.

Of course, there is always the option to watch the horror movie on Digital. You can get the movie from all your favorite Digital providers, including Amazon Video.

With this, you’ll get the movie added to your Amazon Library. You only pay once and it’s there until Amazon shuts down—and honestly, what are the chances of that in our lifetime?

You can also own it on DVD and Blu-ray. Opting for these permanent ways of owning the movies is still worthwhile. You don’t have to look each year to find out where the movies are streaming.
