The Forever Purge and more on DVD and Blu-ray this week
The last Tuesday of September is quiet when it comes to DVD and Blu-ray releases. There are only three releases happening.
The biggest of the DVD and Blu-ray releases on Tuesday, Sept. 28 is going to be The Forever Purge. It’s the fifth and final movie in the franchise, and it takes place a year after the events of the first movie.
The annual Purge event is over. However, that doesn’t mean everyone is happy with that decision. A group of people decides to hold the event anyway, and this group will do everything possible to bring a reign of terror. A Mexican couple trying to escape a gang of drug dealers will be the first victims, but can this couple escape?
Blithe Spirit and more on DVD and Blu-ray
You can also get Blithe Spirit on DVD this week. Dan Stevens and Leslie Mann star in this Noel Coward adaptation.
Stevens is Charles Condomine, a writer with severe writer’s block. He’s still struggling to move on past the death of his first wife five years ago. When he and his second wife watch the eccentric medium Madame Arcati and he invites her to his home for inspiration, Charles gets far more than he bargained for. Elvira’s spirit is accidentally summoned, and now Charles has to deal with a strange love triangle in the house.
The third movie coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week is called Twist, a Dickens classic brought to life with a modern-day look. A group of street smart hustlers decides to perform one of the biggest heists ever for their ultimate payday. Just what could possibly go wrong?
