Inspired by a true story, the movie follows Jamie New, played by Max Harwood. He has a dream about life on a stage, and not the West End or Broadway. He wants to be a drag queen. Of course, there are people who will make fun of him and put him down, but he has important people in his corner.
Jamie’s mom (played by Sarah Lancashire) and his best friend Pritti (played by Lauren Patel) both encourage him to follow his dreams. He also turns to a local drag legend, Miss Loco Chanelle (played by Richard E. Grant), for mentorship. Can the three of them help drown out the naysayers?
