Every now and then, there’s an Amazon release missing from the full list of releases. Birds of Paradise is one of those releases this month. It’s almost time for the ballet drama movie.

For some reason, Birds of Paradise was missing from the September releases. It’s not clear why, but the movie is heading our way at the end of the month.

It has a great cast with the promise of a twisty storyline. Before you put it on your list of Amazon Original Movies to watch, you’ll want to know as much as you can about it. That’s what this post is all about.

Birds of Paradise release date

The official release date is set for Friday, Sept. 24. For those keeping track of other Amazon Original releases, that’s the same date as Goliath Season 4. With this being a movie, it’s not going to take too much time out of your viewing of the Goliath final season.

Diana Silvers plays Kate Sanders and Kristine Froseth is Marine Durand. The listings for the movie have been relatively quiet so the only other cast members we know of right now are:

Birds of Paradise synopsis

The movie follows Kate Sanders, an ambitious and talented aspiring ballerina. Due to her low-income status, she manages to get a scholarship at a prestigious French ballet school. Of course, we all know what the rich kids will think of her because of that.

Kate is thrown into the cutthroat world of the renowned institution and the style of dance she loves. She’s tested physically and mentally, both by her teachers and by fellow dancer Marine Durange.

Kate and Marine initially finds themselves against each other. However, they realize that there may be a power in a partnership. Is trust overrated when it comes to a contract to join the Opéra national de Paris?
