Shang-Chi is the highly anticipated Marvel movie of 2021. It’s only out in theaters right now, but will it come to Amazon Prime Video?

We’ve all been waiting for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Right now, the only way you can watch it is in theaters. Unlike Black Widow and Cruella, Disney (which owns Marvel) decided not to release the movie on Disney+ with Premier Access at the same time as the theatrical release.

Now you’re looking for other ways to watch it. After all, with the Delta variant of COVID-19 spreading, you may not feel comfortable heading to movie theaters. So, you want to find ways to watch movies (legally) at home.

Is Amazon Prime Video an option? Will Shang-Chi ever come to Amazon Prime Video for free with your subscription? Let’s take a look at all the options.

Shang-Chi won’t come to Amazon Prime Video

We start with the bad news. You won’t be able to watch Shang-Chi on Amazon Prime Video with your Prime membership. At least, that’s not going to happen for some time.

After 45 days in theaters, the Marvel movie will head to Disney+. It’s going to be available for free with your Disney+ membership from that time.

There’s no need for Disney to release movies on other streaming platforms anymore. It has its own streaming platform, which is a popular option for many. However, in a few years’ time, the movie may be licensed out under a non-exclusive license.

Another option is to look at getting the movie on Digital. It’s highly likely that Shang-Chi will eventually come to DVD and Blu-ray. There’s no reason for Disney not to release the Marvel movie on DVD and Blu-ray. That means it’s going to head to Digital to rent or buy.

You’ll be able to buy the movie on Amazon Video. You might want to wait for the DVD release as there are usually combo packs.
