When is Shang-Chi coming to DVD and Blu-ray?
Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings is now available in movie theaters around the country. Just when will the Shang-Chi DVD and Blu-ray be released?
It’s time for one of the most anticipated new Marvel movies of recent years. Right now, it’s out in theaters, and only in theaters. It will eventually head to Disney+, but it’s not being released with Premier Access like Black Widow. Instead, it’s coming after a 45-day exclusive window in theaters.
But what if you don’t want Disney+? And what if you don’t want to head to theaters just yet? You want to get the movie on DVD or Blu-ray instead, which means looking at when the release date will be.
We don’t have an exact release date just yet. However, it’s possible to look at other Marvel and Disney releases to get an idea as to when this one will head to DVD and Blu-ray.
Shang-Chi DVD release date predictions
Mulan and Black Widow are two of Disney’s biggest releases in the last two years. Both of them went to Disney+ via Premier Access at the same time as the theatrical releases, which may have affected the DVD release dates. They were on the shorter timeframe compared to other releases.
It took about two months for the two movies to head from theaters to DVD. If we’re going by these for Shang-Chi on DVD, we’re looking at around the start to the middle of November 2021 as a release date. Mulan got a Sept. 4, 2020 Premier Access release date and then came to DVD on Nov. 10, 2020. With that in mind, we could see Shang-Chi on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, Nov. 9.
Disney and Marvel may want to head to a more traditional release. It’s possible that we’re looking at waiting three months for the DVD and Blu-ray releases, which means we’re waiting until December 2021.
Shang-Chi and the Legends of Ten Rings is currently in theaters.
