Amazon Prime Video has been quiet at the weekends for some time. It shouldn’t be surprising that this is another quiet weekend. The idea is that you catch up on the content that dropped during the week.

There were certainly plenty of movies and shows that dropped during the week. After all, it was the first-of-the-month drop on Wednesday, which brought almost 70 titles to Amazon Prime Video.

So, what are you streaming on Amazon this weekend? We’ll share a few ideas that you may not have got around to yet and an Amazon Original Movie you need to check out.

Cinderella, Republic of Doyle, and more

We’ll start with the Amazon Original Movie that dropped. Cinderella is now available for streaming on Amazon, and you need to check it out. Yes, it’s a musical version, and sure, you’ve seen Cinderella adaptations all the time. However, this one has a feminist touch that is sure to be inspiring for young girls.

Cinderella is also Camila Cabello’s acting debut, and she shines. She’s a star in the making.

If you’re looking for a TV series to binge, Republic of Doyle Season 1 is available on Amazon Prime Video. The Canadian comedy-drama series is set in St. John’s, New Foundland, and it follows Jake Doyle, a private eye who works with his dad and partner at his firm to tackle the various cases now that oil has flooded the town’s coffers.

There are more seasons to the show. You’ll need Acorn TV, available through Amazon Channels, to catch up on the rest of it.

If you’re looking for an old-school horror movie, Young Frankenstein is now streaming on Amazon. The 1974 movie needs absolutely no introduction.
