The Expanse Season 6 is not coming in September 2021
The September 2021 releases are in and there’s some bad news. The Expanse Season 6 still isn’t on the list. When could it come to Amazon Prime Video?
According to Tech Radar 247, production on The Expanse Season 6 finished in May 2021. The show is going through the post-production stage.
Of course, we haven’t heard anything official just yet. This is just one report, and the show has remained relatively quiet on filming and the work being done. Can’t have any spoilers leak on the final season!
Yes, it is still the final season. While there are more books to develop, they’re not going to be done in the form of the Amazon series. This isn’t Amazon’s decision but the show’s decision, and we have to respect that creative choice.
The Expanse Season 6 release date predictions
Sadly, we’re still waiting for any sign as to when The Expanse Season 6 will arrive on Amazon Prime Video. All we know right now is that it’s not coming in September 2021. If production only wrapped in May, that’s not surprising.
There is a lot of post-production work to get through. Think of the graphics a show like this needs. And we’d rather have the graphics look amazing than be rushed to get us the season.
There is still a little hope that we’ll get it before the end of the year. There’s just enough time for a December 2021 release date. However, it’s possible that we’re going to have to wait until early 2022.
Will the show drop all at once? With how well these hybrid releases are working for the streamers, it’s unlikely. The Expanse Season 5 opted to release three episodes together and then one episode a week, and we’re expecting something similar for the sixth and final season.
The Expanse is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
