It’s another week, which means more DVD and Blu-ray releases. This is a good week for your favorite TV shows on DVD, including Prodigal Son Season 2.

August is a good month for DVD and Blu-ray releases. It’s the time that another season of all favorites shows come to DVD and Blu-ray, and even with the pandemic, that’s certainly the case with this week.

There are 12 titles coming to physical disc this week, Tuesday, Aug. 24. There’s a good mixture of movies and TV shows, making sure there’s something for everyone.

We’ll take a look at some of the notable releases, before sharing everything for the week.

Prodigal Son Season 2, SWAT Season 4, and more

One of the bittersweet releases is Prodigal Son Season 2. While getting it on DVD is exciting, the downside is that it is the final season. FOX canceled the campy crime drama, and the search for a new home is over. However, at least you can watch the show to your heart’s content at home.

SWAT Season 4 is another of the big TV show releases. This fourth season starts with the Black Lives Matter protests, and continues the discussion on systemic racism and police brutality. It also touches on racism within the force, and how much of it ends up being covered up. This is most definitely an important season to add to your DVD and Blu-ray collection.

Need a movie? We’re looking at one for the children. Petter Rabbit 2 is getting the DVD treatment. Peter is up to his usual mischief, and the kids will adore it.

For those who prefer a horror, The Conjuring 3 is available. Based on another true story, the movie follows the Warrens as they race against the clock to save a young man from the death penalty. Can they prove the devil made him kill?
