It’s the last full week of August, and you’ll be looking for something new to watch. There isn’t much streaming on Amazon this week, but there is at least something.

This is a week to catch up on everything you missed from August. You’re waiting until the end of the week for the fresh content, so you have plenty of time to watch the movies and shows that have dropped.

There is plenty to check out still. Don’t forget that the Amazon Channels samples will leave Amazon Prime Video at the start of next week. You’ll want to check them out while you still can.

But what about at the end of the week? What’s streaming on Amazon Prime Video? There are some options for adults and children.

The Courier and Pete the Cat

The Courier is the biggest release of the week. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, it follows the story of a businessman who is enlisted to become a spy for the Americans in the middle of the Cold War. He’s an unassuming spy, which gives him the chance to infiltrate where MI6 and the CIA need him to.

If he’s caught, he’s in a lot of trouble of course. The Russians don’t take well to spies.

For those who need something for the children, there’s a Pete the Cat special you’ll want to put on. Pete the Cat Back to School Operetta is perfect for this time of year. After all, children are getting ready to head back to the classrooms, even if this year still isn’t quite back to normal.

Pete the Cat teaches some great lessons to preschoolers and Kindergarteners. It’s something you can put on while you get on with other stuff around the house.
