After a quiet week waiting for Modern Love Season 2 to drop, we now have a week of content. There’s some great content coming, whether you want a comedy action movie or you’re interested in a musical movie.

It all starts on Monday. In Bruges and Evan Almighty are both dropping on Monday, Aug. 16. In Bruges is the top pick for the day. It’s about two hitmen who end up stuck in Bruges and find out that they’ve become the targets.

Evan Almighty is the sequel to Bruce Almighty. Morgan Freeman returns as God, and this time, he needs Evan to become the next Noah.

Annette, Killer Among Us, and more

Annette is the big Amazon Original Movie arriving during the week. Starring Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard, the movie follows a stand-up comic and an opera singer who have a whirlwind romance. They get married and start a family, and that’s when things get crazier for them.

Their daughter turns out to have a special gift. Just what does it do to them as a couple?

Killer Among Us arrives on Friday, Aug. 20. The 2021 movie stars Imani Lewis and Yasha Jackson, and it focuses on a female rookie cop who partners with a veteran detective. Their focus is on a radicalized serial killer and his next victim.
