The White Lotus Season 2 is officially happening: What to expect

Just days after wondering if there would be a second season, we get the confirmation that The White Lotus Season 2 is happening as HBO.

The White Lotus was originally planned to be a limited series. It’s certainly the limited series of the summer to watch. The writing is hilarious with characters that just keep getting worse!

We’re just a few days away from what was supposed to be a series finale. It’s no longer going to be the series finale. HBO has confirmed The White Lotus Season 2 is happening.

It’s not going to be set in Hawaii, though. Nor is the full cast of the first season going to be a part of it. What are the plans for a second season?

What will happen on The White Lotus Season 2?

Entertainment Weekly confirms suspicions that the show will have another location. Instead of being at the exclusive Hawaiian resort, the show will take a look at another franchise of the White Lotus hotel.

There’s no confirmation on the location just yet. Show creator Mike White mentioned The White Lotus: Kyoto as a potential option, but that’s not a definite just yet.

There is a chance that some of the cast from the first season will return. It wouldn’t make sense for everyone to come back for a vacation in the exact same location again, but that doesn’t mean some people can’t turn up. It’s all going to depend on contracts.

We’d be looking at summer 2022 as the earliest for The White Lotus Season 2. There’s a bit of a wait to see the trouble that the rich and famous can get into at the new location, along with the trouble the staff will get into.
