Are you ready for the most fabulous movie coming to Amazon Prime Video? It’s all about Jamie New in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Amazon certainly knows how to do fabulous. The latest movie is going to have everyone talking, as it focuses on a true story that is everything some teenagers are going to need.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is heading to Amazon Prime Video very soon. It stars Max Harwood as Jamie New, a boy with a dream to be a drag queen. The story is also a West End production that has certainly wowed audiences.

There isn’t long to wait for the bright and fun movie. It’s heading to Amazon on Friday, Sept. 17. Yes, that’s next month, and there really isn’t that long to wait.

Max Harwood stars as Jamie New, a boy who sometimes wants to be a girl. That’s literally a line in the trailer, and it’s a fabulous line from someone who is comfortable in his own skin.

He’s joined by Sarah Lancashire as Margaret New, Jamie’s highly supportive mother, and Lauren Patel as Pritti Pasha, Jamie’s also highly supportive best friend.

Other cast members include:

  • Shobna Gulati as Ray, Margaret’s close friend
  • Ralph Ineson as Wayne New, Jamie’s estranged father
  • Adeel Akhtar as Iman Masood, school principal
  • Samuel Bottomley as Dean Paxton, school bully
  • Sharon Horgan as Miss Hedge, instructor of Year 11
  • Richard E. Grant as Hugo Battersby / Loco Chanelle, a former drag queen

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie synopsis

The movie focuses on 16-year-old Jamie New, who doesn’t quite fit in. That’s because he wants to be a drag queen, and he knows that he can be a sensation. He spends all his time dreaming about it.

Fortunately, he has a supportive mother and friend who will help him overcome the prejudice and bullies. He also has a great mentor, a former drag queen willing to help him follow his dream.
