What’s streaming on Amazon this weekend: Aug. 7-8, 2021
After a lot of great content on the streamer last weekend, we’re heading into a quiet weekend. What is streaming on Amazon from Aug. 7 to 8?
Last weekend saw the first-of-the-month drop. There was plenty to watch on the streaming platform, whether you needed horror, comedy, or something in between.
This weekend is quiet. We’re back to nothing coming over the actual weekends, with the focus being on catching the content that arrived during the week. This gives you plenty of time to watch all the Amazon Originals that dropped.
So, what can you stream? Here’s a look at what’s coming this weekend, with some notable shows and movies to look forward to during the month.
S.O.Z. Soldiers or Zombies and Val
Friday, Aug. 6 saw the release of two new Amazon Originals. The first is the Mexican zombie series S.O.Z. Soldiers or Zombies. The series follows a drug lord who escapes prison before extradition. However, he soon realizes that the authorities are the least of his problems. What about the zombies in the Mexican desert?
If you love Val Kilmer, the second release is the one to watch. Val is a documentary that gives us a real look at the iconic star. There are home movies, interviews, and much more.
Of course, there’s still everything from Aug. 1 to check out. Last weekend brought some big movies like Jaws, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Predator. There really is something for everyone to check out.
If you’re looking at Amazon’s free streaming service, IMDb TV, there were some releases during the week. Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road is the big release of the week. It’s the IMDb TV Original, showcasing the country music star as you’ve never seen him before.
