It’s based on a novel by Nancy Mitford, and is the perfect story for romance lovers out there. This isn’t your typical period drama romance, though. It’s one that includes a lot of fun with women who aren’t quite as you’d expect for the time.

What is The Pursuit of Love about?
The series follows two cousins. James plays Linda Radlett, a young woman who is on the quest for love. She adores everything to do with love, but she doesn’t want someone who is your stereotypical man. She wants fun and adventure.
Then there’s Fanny Logan, Linda’s cousin who narrates the series and is played by Emily Beecham. Fanny admires her cousin, but it could lead to a lot of trouble.
This is a series that is hypersexualized, and it does include a lot of adultery references. It’s not going to be for everyone, but it’s nothing like the typical romance dramas you’ll find on TV right now. After all, not all women of the past were prim and proper. They wanted fun and adventure, and it’s time to show that on our screens.
