Amazon has picked up the show as a limited series. The plan is for one season of six episodes. Of course, Good Omens was picked up as a limited series and it’s since been renewed for a second season.

Anansi Boys is connected to American Gods, which was abruptly canceled on a major cliffhanger at the end of Season 3. The good thing about having a show as a limited series is that the full story will be told! There’s no need to worry about a renewal.

But what can we expect from the series? What is it about?

The series follows Mr. Nancy’s children. Most specifically, it focuses on Charlie Nancy, who learns a lot about his life after the death of his father.

One of the biggest things he learns is that his father was Anansi, the African trickster god. This is a shock to him, and it could mean something special for him in the future. So, why doesn’t he have his father’s powers? That’s when he learns the truth about a long-lost twin brother out there.

This brother comes into Charlie’s life after Mr. Nancy’s death, bringing danger with him. At the same time, they want to get to know each other after they were separated when they were young.
