Amazon is no stranger to original films, but its latest original is unlike anything the studio has released thus far. We’re referring to Amazon’s upcoming fairytale film Cinderella, inspired by one of the iconic characters of all-time with what promises to be a bold new take on the classic story we all grew up on.

The wait for Amazon’s Cinderella adaptation won’t be too much longer! Amazon has confirmed Cinderella will arrive Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, making it the perfect end-of-summer movie to enjoy with the entire family.

We’ve all heard the story of Cinderella and Amazon’s adaptation promises to draw heavily from the iconic fairytale we all grew up on, but with a bold new twist. This musical adaptation of Cinderalla’s story promises to introduce viewers to a Cinderella unlike any we’ve met before!

Wondering just what to expect from Amazon’s Cinderella adaptation? Here’s how Amazon officially describes Cinderella: 

"Cinderella is a musically-driven bold new take on the traditional story you grew up with. Our heroine (Cabello) is an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow, but with the help of her Fab G (Billy Porter), she is able to persevere and make her dreams come true."

Leading the cast of Amazon’s Cinderella is Grammy-nominated singer Camila Cabello who will be making her acting debut as the film’s title character. She’ll be joined by an A-List ensemble that includes Idina Menzel as Stepmother, Minnie Driver as Queen Beatrice, James Corden as Footman, Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Robert, Billy Porter as Fab G. Pierce Brosnan is also set to star in the film, though his role remains uncertain which has us wondering if he could be playing Cinderella’s deceased father.
