Good Omens renewed for Season 2: Are David Tennant and Michael Sheen returning?

Good Omens was initially planned as a limited series. Of course, limited series don’t always stay limited. Good Omens Season 2 is happening.

The journey of Aziraphale and Crowley preventing the apocalypse was supposed to just take one season. The series Good Omens was planned as a limited series just to tell the story from the original novel by Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Like other limited series, plans have changed. The series has officially been renewed by Amazon, bringing us another six episodes of the sarcasm and fun.

The big question for many people is what this season could be about? This is going to be set post-source material. Will we get to see more from the demon and angel working together?

Will David Tennant and Michael Sheen return for Good Omens Season 2?

We don’t know too much about the new season. However, TVLine does report the good news that both David Tennant and Michael Sheen have signed on for the six-episode season. Crowley and Aziraphale will return to the show.

The season will follow the events of the apocalypse. Life has returned to normal for the mortals, and the demon and angel are now living their hassle-free life again.

That’s what they think. When they get a visit from a messenger, they find themselves thrown back into another major problem. It turns out there’s a mystery to solve and an angel with no memory.

It turns out that there was a sequel plotted out for the books. Some of the material was used in the first season, but the material can also be used for the second season.

It’s not yet clear if any of the other actors will return. Gaiman will return as executive producer with John Finnemore coming on board for the series.
