Homecoming Season 3 release date, cast, trailer, synopsis, and more

We’re still waiting for official confirmation that Homecoming Season 3 is happening. What do we know about the potential season so far?

Amazon hasn’t canceled or renewed Homecoming just yet. To be honest, the lack of news for more than a year isn’t a good sign. We’re looking at it as a quiet cancellation, but there is a little hope that it’s just taking the streamer and production time to come to some sort of agreement on where to go for Season 3.

Initially based on a podcast, Homecoming told the story of Heidi, played by Julia Roberts. Heidi used to work at an institution for military vets, but she has no memory of what actually happened in the place. We get to find that out in the first season.

The second season picks up with a woman who wakes with no memory of who she is. Janelle Monáe portrayed the woman who had to figure out who she was and how her memories were taken from her. It all led her back to Homecoming.

The second season wrapped a lot up, but there are still a lot of questions about the facility and what’s next for many of the characters. Here’s what we know about Homecoming Season 3 so far, with updates coming as they happen.

Homecoming Season 3 release date

It’s hard to pinpoint a release date for the season without a renewal. It usually takes 14 to 18 months between Amazon seasons, but we’ve gone 13 months with no word on whether Homecoming Season 3 is even happening.

When we get a renewal, we’ll be able to guestimate a release date much easier.

Homecoming Season 3 cast

It’s hard to say who will be involved with the cast. We’d love to see Janelle Monáe return to the series, and there is certainly room for that to happen. We’d also love to see more of Stephen James as Walter Cruz considering how much digging Walter did into the facility.

The rest of the cast is up for debate.

It’s possible with how long the wait has been that contracts have all expired. This would allow for a completely new cast to make the series more of an anthology.

Since there isn’t even a season confirmed yet, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that there isn’t a trailer just yet. We’ll be sure to bring that when it happens.
