What is Dom on Amazon about?
Dom Season 1 will drop on Amazon Prime Video at the end of the week. Not sure if this is for you? Here’s all you need to know about the series.
There are a few Amazon Originals arriving throughout June 2021. Dom is one of the first, bringing us a Brazilian drama that you’re not going to want to miss.
It is a foreign-language series, but don’t let that put you off. Yes, it means concentrating on the show to read the subtitles, but that means you’re far more engrossed in the story. It really is time to get off the phone and pay attention to the series.
This is perfect for fans of crime dramas. It’s also perfect for those who love family dramas, as this one is about a father and a son on different sides of a drug war.
What is Dom Season 1 about?
The series follows Victor, a police officer who is hellbent on saving his son, Pedro. Pedro is introduced to cocaine in his teenage years, and he ends up following a path of crime. This is his choice, and he’s on track to becoming one of the biggest criminal drug lords in the area. However, his father will stop at nothing to get his son out of this “career.”
The whole series is based on a true story. It starts in 1969 with Victor becoming a military intelligence agent focused on the war on drugs. The show then takes place over the years afterward as we follow Pedro’s journey into the 2000s.
Father and son sit on opposite sides of the war, and the first casualty of war is always family.
There are eight episodes to the series. All eight will drop at the same time, making it the perfect binge-watch.
Dom Season 1 is coming to Amazon Prime Video on Friday, June 4.
