The Courier and more coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week

Not only do we have a new week, but it’s a new month of DVD and Blu-ray releases. The Courier is one of the new releases on June 1, 2021.

June 1 sees a mixture of DVD and Blu-ray releases happening. There are some bigger movies, and then there are smaller ones that you may never have heard about. You could find a hidden gem within the releases.

The Courier is the biggest release of the week. Benedict Cumberbatch stars as an unlikely man tasked with a dangerous job. He needs to infiltrate Russia and be a spy for the U.S. and the UK. The aim is to get secrets to prevent a war between the U.S. and Russia, but being caught would mean certain death.

It’s a thrilling spy drama with a twist. Cumberbatch is outstanding, but there are also great performances from Rachel Brosnahan and Jessie Buckley.

Boogie, Your Honor, and more

Taylor Takahashi stars in Boogie, coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week. He plays Alfred “Boogie” Chin, a teenager from Queens who is skilled enough at basketball to get a scholarship. He could make it all the way, but his family and friends don’t want him to follow his dreams. As everyone clashes, he needs to figure out what he wants in his life.

Bryan Cranston is the next star in a DVD release. Your Honor follows Judge Michael Desiato, who believes deeply in law and order, but he soon turns against that when his son is responsible for a deadly hit-and-run. It’s not that he is against law and order, but that the victim was the son of a powerful mob boss.
