Is Army of the Dead coming to Amazon Prime Video?

Army of the Dead is the latest Zack Snyder film everyone wants to check out. Is it available on Amazon Prime Video? Will it ever come to Amazon?

Zombie movies tend to be hit and miss, but there’s no doubt there are high hopes for Army of the Dead. This isn’t your typical zombie movie where it’s about understanding the infection and finding a cure. The focus is on a group of mercenaries who are simply carrying out a job without realizing just how dangerous that job is going to be.

Now you’ll want to know where you can stream it. Is the Zack Snyder movie on Amazon Prime Video?

Sadly, it’s not. There is only one place you can watch it right now and that’s on Netflix. With that in mind, it’s highly unlikely that it will ever come to Amazon to stream as part of your Prime subscription.

Will Army of the Dead come to Digital on Amazon Video?

What about a Digital release? Some Netflix movies get a DVD and Blu-ray release. There are many TV shows that end up getting a Digital release. Could that happen here?

While it’s possible, we’re not sure what the details of the deal were for Netflix to get the movie. Sometimes the deal includes a DVD and Blu-ray release, but not always.

The Digital release is a little trickier. A contract with Netflix streaming the movie as an original is probably not going to include the Digital release on Amazon Video, iTunes, and other locations. It doesn’t make sense for Netflix to do something like this as it takes subscribers away from the streamer.

We’ll certainly keep an eye out, though. After all, there’s no doubt you’ll want to check out Army of the Dead.
