Will Those Who Wish Me Dead come to Amazon Prime Video?
Those Who Wish Me Dead is the latest Warner Bros. movie to get the dual theatrical and HBO Max release. Will it come to Amazon in the future?
Warner Bros. is opting for a dual-release model for 2021. With some theaters not yet open or people not willing to head to theaters yet due to the pandemic, Warner Bros. has put their movies on HBO Max.
However, that release is only for 30 days. After that, the movie is only available in theaters until the Digital and DVD releases. But what about when movies head to streaming after that?
Those Who Wish Me Dead is the latest movie with this dual-release model, and it is currently on HBO Max. It’s not going to stay there forever, and it will end up going back to a streaming service eventually. Will that streaming service be Amazon Prime Video?
Those Who Wish Me Dead won’t come straight to Amazon
There’s some bad news to start with. Those Who Wish Me Dead isn’t going to head to Amazon right away. As a Warner Bros. movie, it’s going to head to HBO after its theatrical run. It takes about six to eight months for Warner Bros. movies to head to HBO.
That doesn’t mean it’s never going to come to Amazon Prime Video. It’s just going to be a few years for that to happen.
The good news is that the movie will head to Amazon Video eventually. You’ll be able to buy it on Digital. Looking at Judas and the Black Messiah and The Little Things, it’s taking two to three months for the Digital release. We’re looking at between mid-July and mid-August for Those Who Wish Me Dead to get the Digital release.
Those Who Wish Me Dead is currently out in theaters and on HBO Max.
